Can my Diamand Goby be paired with those bad eye sight shrimp?

I just got one on Friday and man these fish are cool, he made like 3 dens on the bottom of my rockwork. I needed to make things safer by making my rock work more stable and lower.

Anyway can these be paired with shrimp if so what kind?

Thank

Sam

Here is a clear shot of the Goby by its biggest den.

If I cant pair it with a shrimp, what would be the safes/best way to pair these up.

This guy here i like 5 inches big, should I go out and buy a small 3 incher?

Thanks again.

Sam

I got two of those guys in my tank, I also have 3 cleaner shrimps and 3 banded shrimps. So far no problem.

So ur saying these gobies are the tpe that pair with shrimp?

I have an idea if its possible Ill try it today.

Ill buy another Diamon Goby like 2-3 inches big, and a pistol shrimp will these 3 live happily in teh den together?

Sam

These type gobies don't normally pair up with pistol shrimps. You want a watchman goby. These guys pair up with shrimp regularly. Also, be warned that a pistol will definitely compromise your rock work.

Yea I know, my Goby died yesterday. He built over 7 dens and he weakened the sand. I found him squished under a boulder. Im not buying these anymore that fish could have cost me my tank.

I have one of those gobies. They are far better at sand sifting than golden sleeper headed gobies. The diamond did not pair and I have not heard of them pairing also. Sorry to hear about your loss, those guys make an effort to cause trouble.

I've had one for 3 months now and he keeps my sand bed spotless. He is also very active and fun to watch. The only bad thing is that when he's working, he sometimes spits sand onto the frags at the bottom of the tank.
