I've seen cluster feather dusters on the internet, but they never come into our lfs, and aren't readily available here in Sydney...I really wanted to find a dwarf feather duster (the ones that grow 5cm) but I found this one little bright red cluster duster on the underside of some live rock. He's tiny, probably half a cm in diam. I've had that live rock for over a year now and never noticed it..
But the main question here is will that one feather duster start its own colony? Or does it reproduce sexually only?
If so, approx how long would it take to spawn or is it just luck?
Tank is 100L (25ish gal), lots of softies, some lps, sponges and no protein skimmer, 5 T5 vho lights. All water param's are stable:
nitrites-0
Ammonia-0
Phosphates-0
Mg-1350
Ca-440
alk-10
sg-.024
