Can RBTA live off of light?

How much room is there in the overflow? Wonder how easy it would be for you to get your hand in there. Could try to pry it off with your finger --- very gently, or an old credit card.

BTAs, love to have their foot in a crevice in the rocks, so that would be a good spot --- assuming it will be happy with the flow and light at that spot.

If it grows, and gets into that flow -- is it constant, or on and off?

It's somewhat near the middle right of the tank and a koralia 4 is on the end of the tank. It's constant except at night I've been shutting it off and leaving the MP20 on night mode.

Don't think I want to use my finger.

Actually now looking at it, it is in a pretty hard spot to reach. The back of the tank is against a wall so I can't go behind and with the lights above your head trying to get in there. The rbta is behind a PVC pipe too which makes it more difficult to get at. I suppose I could just reach in with my arm with an old credit card and make it close up and then just ease at the base and try to net it.

Hmm, it sounds like it is in a position that you won't be able to get much "feel" --- don't want to damage its foot. And it won't hurt your finger --- now it if was a Haddoni, I would tell (( yes, tell not suggest )) you to use gloves.

Might want to give it a few more days, see if it moves higher, or into another spot that will be easier.

Can't move higher or it'll be out of the water. I just don't want it going down.

Ahhh, then you are just going to have to put your hand in there and see if you can get it out. :)

I got it out. I placed it on a rock but it isn't in the crevice I wanted. It is right next to it right in the open. I'm sure it'll move either way. Don't want to disturb it anymore, I already have been poking it for the last 20 minutes. The foot works anyway. :) Attached to the rock.

The nem looks kind of "melty" now. Hopefully it springs back up quick.

Should I feed it now or does it do best to let it get back to normal first?

I have a video of it coming quick to show you the condition and flow of it.

Glad that you were able to get it out.

I wouldn't worry too much about it looking "melty" , it has been through a lot lately.

It had to crawl over the overflow box (out of the water) and into the other side. wow.

Also dropped the plastic card I was using to the bottom of the tank. Nothing on it but some color (design) and piece of green paper sticker. Doubt that'll be harmful to the water. I'll have to get one of those long pincher things to get it out of the bottom of the overflow box.

Considering all that it has been through, it looks pretty good to me.

I would think about turning off the powerheads for the night -- just to give it more time to settle in while you are sleeping.
