Can somebody tell me if my fish will be OK???

I have a Purple Psuedochromis that I have had for almost 3 years. And for the last 2 days he has not come out for feedings. He is still alive because I can see him. He just sits in his little cave. And he is breathing heavy. He moves around a little bit, he has 3 spots that he likes to hang out in. But he hasn't been swimming in the open water at all.

So what do you guys think. I would like to move him to a 12 gallon Aquapod I could set up real quick, but I don't think I could catch him. Do you think he is sick, or dieing?
