Just purchased a Tubastrea and want to keep it near a Dendro and was wondering if they will sting each other.
Your response is greatly appreciated. Thanx

They won't sting each other, and in my experience they don't practically sting other corals. But be careful rhizos are another genera that can sting dendros and suns so, if later you include one, don't put them too much close.

In my tank i have a Eguchipsammia fistula (fathead dendro - this was formerly in the dendrophyllia genus taxa) which is pressed right next to a Tubastraea - no problems. I also have dendros (arbuscula) grown right into Tubastraea micranthus (black sun corals) - again no problems. Both are touching when the polyps fully extend.
FWIW I have not had the same experience. I have a coral that was sold as "Australian branching Tubastrea" and when placed near my Dendrophyllia/Eguchipsammia fistula it was stung very badly and took quite a while to recover. So I would advise "with caution".
