I am moving a few lps (torch coral) from a smaller tank to my main display and wanted to know if there is any way to dip it before to make sure it doesn't have any pests?

Like a freshwater dip? Or iodine dip? or anything?

The tank I am bringing it from had ich in it before so I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks

Lugols dips dont remove pests. It's a dissinfectant. Period.

Freshwater dips that match the temp and pH of the display is the way to go for removing unwanted pests.

SPS predators are the only ones I know that need specific dips of different meds depending on the specific predator.

Proper uses of Lugols in aquaria are to fight infections such as 'brown jelly' or to aid in keeping cuts clean wether by fragmentation or inadvertant cuts/scrapes from aquascaping, shipping, etc.

As far as Lugols and me, Im
