I just got a 6 gal nano that had this anemone in it. Can someone tell me what kind it is. The tank only has an 18 watt 50/50 cf light. The guy told me he had this anemone in it for about 6 monthe prior to selling it. Do i need to get this nem. into a better tank?

looks like it is a condylactis gigantea.. yes it should have more light, and a larger tank that will be more stable..

if its a condy gigantea youll need a bigger tank they can reach 16" in diameter.

min light depending on tank depth lets say 12" or less 4-6 wpg, 14"-20" 8-12wpg. those levels will help with being able to keep feeding levels low but allow the animal to grow.

The guy that had the tank uprgaded to a 24 gal AP and he transfered everything except the gigantea to the bigger tank.

I would agree on Condylactis gigantea, small tank but that is a good way to see what it takes to upkeep a reef tank.
