I mean at one time. I feed my BTA silversides and I hadn't fed it for a while so I gave it a silverside that was probably about 4"+. The BTA is about 9" across. It started eating it like normal but then the next morning, the tail was still sticking out of it's mouth and it ended up spitting the back half of the silverside out, and shrunk down the rest of the day. Now it's fully expanded like normal but the mouth is somwhat open and there's like a white patch that doesn't look very good, located at the upper portion of the mouth. What does an anemone do when it's going to split? Would the mouth stay open? It's hosted by a maroon clown. I've had the BTA since last August.
It also lost a short tentacle. The clown nips it sometimes but I don't know how it came off. Is this something that's normal?
