Can you put a switch between led driver and leds

Im building a fixture and a wanna mount 3 or 4 leds in the stand so i can see what im doing under there. Im using a meanwell 350-36 power supply to power my led fixture im building, can i add a 300ma driver to my plans and hook up a few led's to it and simply put a switch inline with the leds to turn them on and off? If not what would the correct way to do this? What if the switch were a door switch so the lights came on when the door is opened?
Thanks

That's a lot of driver for a few LEDs.
Not really. The driver would be powering the leds at just under 1w each.
The relay will not go in line with the LEDs, it will go to the input of the power supply.

This isnt feasible, the power supply will need to power the other aspects of the led build. What is wrong with having a switch in line with the led's? Would it blow the driver or something?

Or am i misunderstanding? Are you saying the switch would go between the driver and the power supply? Or in other words on the output of the power supply?

Yes, I meant between driver and power supply. The LED driver is not made to have the load disconnected on the output side. :)

Great sounds good, dunno why i didnt think of that instead in the first place.. Im sure it wouldve came to me as i wired it all in.. Thanks for the help!
