can you use prime in the tank with nem

no reason to use Prime in a reef aquarium IMO.

for bleaching Monti caps double check S.G. (I suspect yours is too high) Ca, alkalinity and (especially) magnesium (Mg) levels.
Avoid sudden large swings in alkalinity.

may sg is high for some reason I add more water this morning and I am going to recheck in the morning but the reason I ask is because my nrate, is high and I never had this before even after a 10% water chANGE

did something die in the aquarium recently?
are you running a wet/dry filter (biomedia)?
got enough good liverock in the system?

yes about been in there for about two years and is almost 200lbs or more I think

what kind of anemone do you have?

IME most anemones are fairly tolerant of relatively high nitrates. I don't know how anemones react to Prime. High nitrates won't cause Monti cap to peel.
I cannot make a recommendation to use Prime.

ok then will wait and see what happens then and hold off on the prime and do another water chagne in the morning and then post test results
