The meeting originally scheduled for December 10, 2011 at UCO in Edmond is canceled. John's wife Shauna is ill and was admitted to Southwestern Medical in Lawton. Please keep them in your prayers.
The date for the next meeting will be posted at a later date.

Respectfully,

Well, as busy as I have been recently I just havent had time to check rc every day.
Apparently I should bc I just drove 2.5 hrs and sat in the parking lot with other frustrated members being rc up on my phone to discover the mtg was cancelled.

Even if we just ended up with a social gathering it would have been great to see people.
Btw, I brought the club funds with me to turn over to an officer, since you guys will need the money before the jan mtg. Whoever is the next treasurer please contact me.

I hope everything is well with Shauna.
As I also drove to the meeting this evening from Norman, I was not very happy to find out that the meeting was cancelled.
I agree that we should have had the meeting anyway, just to visit would have been fine.
I don't look at the computer everyday, I learned my lesson today. Maybe we need to discuss how we can prevent this situation in the future.

Ya know I have thought long and hard about some things and came to a conclusion.

I don't need this. The club was dead, as no one else was going to take care of things and then when my wife ends up in the hospital having seizures for almost 10 hours straight one person can say they hope everything is OK.

My life is in shambles and has been for quite a few months but I still was willing to try and keep the club going. I really don't care anymore and I think it showed that most of you do not either.

There is approx 600 left of club funds. If someone does not step forward to take care of things it should either be disbursed to the members of COMAS from 2011 equally or donated to a worthy marine charity. The rest of the club items should be sold and the funds disbursed equally as well.

The rats have been jumping ship for a while so I guess it's time to go.

Tonya,

I am sorry that I got you into things and I appreciate everything you have done. . .

Well I can find some ppl who still would like this club. I know there's alot going on at the time but I know this club still has members that are still interested In it. I'm sure we can keep this going.

WoW..............

I don't wanna sound rude but you volunteered for this position, haven't organized 1 successful meeting. Then insult people by calling them rats....seriously! 2 weeks before the biggest meeting of the year you decide you bit off more than you could chew and quit.

Tonya has stepped up as Pres, I don't have time to be vp but she has asked if I could help. I am more than willing. I have taken back over as the web admin and will get started on getting stuff fixed at mycomas. I will talk to my wife about taking the frag tank as well. I hate to see something die, because 1 man volunteered and bit off more than he could chew.

The core people are still here, just because we are busy is not a reason to roll over and die! Not to lesson your ordeal, but my wife has been ill for over 5 years and the docs still don't know what is wrong with her, over 5k later. So lets not go there.

I believe we should let it be. There is no reason to call anyone out. I know there are members that want to see it continue, After the LT has time to discuss a plan or call out for a new prez we can continue to move forward. I can give some time if needed but can't take prez role due to work and having another little one on the way, I just cant makle all or even most of the meetings. Tonya, lmk how I can help. Again lets keep it friendly besides Its Christmas!

Chris

Indeed! No need to liquidate assets. Congratulations on stepping up to the presidency position. You will do great job leading this club, Tonya.

John, I am very sorry your wife is ill. I really hope she is okay. However, I agree with everyone else that there are still members who would like to see this club continue. I'm sorry you won't be able to fulfill your role as president. You could not have forseen your current situation, but that hardly means we need to dissolve the club. I know we have had a rough couple of months in the club but we are starting a new year and a little perseverance can go a long way! I do hope that when your wife is feeling better you will still attend meetings. Im sure the nature of your post was due to the stress you are under right now and I hope everyone else takes that into consideration. If there is anything we can do for you please dont hesitate to let us know.
