I have a large colony of candy cane that have thrived up to recently.
All my water parameters are in check and other corals thriving - ricordea, mushrooms, leather, xenia........

Over the last several months the candy cane have withered in size and no longer feed at night.

What am i missing, this colony was the center piece of my tank.

the other corals you mention are all softies. have you checked your alkalinity/calcium/magnesium levels? without these parameters in range, stony corals won't do well.

Have you been checking your calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium? These guys are pretty hardy if you keep those params normal. I have 4 different color morphs of them and all are doing great. Have you noticed any of your fish picking at it? Any new fish that would do that? Also, have you changed your lighting at all recently?
