Candycane splitting?

I was wondering if you guys think this is going to split? It looks like it to me but this is my first time with coral so I'm unsure.

It's hard to take a picture of it because the blue light screws my phone camera up. The actual color is a very pale green like a pale mint green. That's how it was given to me so I assumed that was the color it was supposed to be.

I have one thats the same pale color. It looks like its growing back after it receded. Common to have more than one mouth on one head, its getting ready to grow and split. Try target feeding it mysis

This is it under UV and actinics:

I try to target feed every 2-3 days a small piece of krill so it's happy when splitting.

Thanks for all the help!

Yup, thats how they split. That variety looks like the first lps I ever bought. I got a colony of 20 and it has been my most prolific coral ever . I have fragged them dozens of times.
is this the color of yours?

It sure is Kingfisher!!! Though mine is still coloring up a bit. I hope mine looks like yours eventually. My question is mine is short and fat width wise. Yours is tall and fat. will mine eventually get taller/stand more upright?

Once acclimated and happy your candy cane should expand and can be larger than a quarter. Of course at night they will shrink up and put out their feeders.

this pic may help show the size of mine.

Ok I know old thread but I have a question again about the splitting. The two heads have yet to separate yet. Tonight I went to feed them and there is a third mouth. Is it normal to have three mouths and no divisions yet?
