well if you haven't been following the 60 gallon hex thread. i am thinking about changing it over to a reef tank. But my wife does not want a pendent hangin in our livng room. so i am wondering if any one can build a canopy that can fit a halide retro fit. If so how much do you think this will run, and how tall would it have to be for proper heat distribution. Any info on lights would help to PFO, HQI.....etc
As far as filtration will a complete cpr system be better , or should I run a 4 stage canister with extra seio for more flow be sufficient btw tank is 22x22x31" H

I don't want to say he will, But I'd ask IMLON2 about your canopy. Even if he's to busy to do it himself he might be able to help you design it. PM him all he say is no.

Wow hex that would be interesting canopy.... I would go 12-15" tall on the Canopy and put doors on two maybe even three sides. Most people go with 400 Watts of MH on a tank deeper than the 24".

60 gallons i am thinking about 250 hamilton MH 14 K 125 coralife super skimmer and a aqualogic 4 stage with spray bar and and seio 1100 for more flow lmk what you think

Where in St. Louis can I get a canopy built? I'm not looking to spend a lot, just need something simple.

This hex canopy on Melev's site looks realy cool. The canopy is towards the bottom of the page.

that is nice looking!

Yeah that looks quick and simple... Hardest part there would be getting the holes drilled for the European hinges.. Should not be that bad..
