Hi there I have two fish on hold at a LFS and the guy told me that they are tile fish, but I have no idea what they are they are green skinny have a longer nose then most fish, but the main thing is they are quite colorful. If anyone can try and relate to this post with some pics that would be great thanks.

Tilefish encountered for aquaria are in the genus Hoplolatilus. I don't think that ID is correct, seeing as none of these species have a long "nose." Since they are on hold, it would help if you could gets some pics of them so that they can be identified.

If they are tilefish, you should do some research into the specific needs of tilefish as they don't work in many tanks + I believe jumping is a big concern with them
I assume you need to update the "10g" in your signature.. but no way would a 10g be large enough for tile fish

Oxymonacanthus longirostris or O. halli are not good aquarium subjects, as jmicky41 and hairymushroom pointed out. If that is the fish you have, it feeds exclusively on the polyps of Acropora sp. corals.
