Can't make wave

Hi

I need some advice of what setting should i do to create wave in my tank (really want my LPS waving left and then right)

I have three controller pumps: 1x 6015 and 2 x 6055 with 7095 controller Here is what how i place my pumps

My tank is bow front and bare bottom, dimensions is 72x18x 24, any advice is appreciate of where to locate my pumps better and what setting should i put on down to interval and pulse timing.

Also, are these pumps enough for my tank?

I have tried hours of different setting and just could not make it happening

Thanks

You will need to have the pumps facing straight across the tank at each other and a controller which can produce a wave, of our controllers only the 6091 or 7096 can do this. The pumps will have to alternately turn off and on on each side every .5-.8 seconds about to produce a wave.

Roger,

Assume i can't buy 7096 right now. What is the best position for my current pumps and setting so that i minimize all deadspots in my tank?

Thanks

Using the pumps to create a wave is considered completely experimental, it may work, it may not so I can make no promises, it most likely will work. I think your existing placement is fine. The ideal if you want a wave would be to add a wavebox extension, this is a wavebox with no controller but if you get the 7096 it will run the wavebox so you don't need the controller.

Hi Roger

How certain do you think 7096 controller will work? I am in dilemma of whether to buy the 7096 controller with another pumps or buy the wave box. Can 7095 control the wavebox? Buying 7096 would save me some money so i can buy another pumps, but if i can't make wave then it is for nothing. I also prefer adding another pumps to make wave rather putting in wave box so more space for my tank.

Thanks

I would get the 7096 and try it, because you can still add a wavebox extension and use the 7096 to control it and it is a much nicer controller than the 6091 that comes with the wavebox. The 7095 doesn't have a wave mode.
