Captive Bred True Percs and black markings?

I bought a pair of captive bred true percula's back in July, at the time they had no black markings at all. Over the past 6 months their black has been coming in, but not what I expected for true percs. Do CB percula's get the heavy black coloration like wild caught ones?

I have two and do not have black coloration.
Another way of knowing if they are tru percula is sleeping on the surface of the tank.

I know they are true percs. The question is if there is a difference in coloration between captive bred and wild caught specimens.

My female doesn't have the dark coloration, but my male misbar has about 3/4 onyx color to it. It took years for his color to come in all the way though.

That's a tough question to answer. It just depends on the parents. Many percs from the Solomon Islands have a lot of black, and can be considered Onyx Clowns. If these are bred the babies maintain their black markings. Even within these babies, you'll find color differences.

There is no difference in standard perculas, from wild caught to captive bred. Some perc's have more black than others, but it doesn't have anything to do with CB -v- WC.
