Back to the question, what brand carbon do you use? Do you run it in a reactor or just in a bag in your sump?

Whatever is cheapest, and in a reactor.

Ideally it's not in your system long enough to warrant purchasing a name brand. It's been said it's better to use less carbon and change it more often (one a week or once every two weeks), than to use more carbon, and change it less frequently.

BRS is pretty good and cheap, but as Darin said - it's only in the reactor 2 weeks anyway..
