great thread guys.. I have been using about 9 cups of gfo and replacing two bags every month or so and dosing around 40ml of vinegar daily.. My system is 550 true gallons... My sps was doing fairly well, but not thriving,,, i noticed my skimmer wasnt skimming well set at a high level.. i decided to slowly remove gfo as i heard it can interfere.. My skimmer started skimming much more efficiently.
well.. about three weeks later and basically all of my sps are taking a turn for the worse. rtn from bottom up.. I feed half a large sheet of nori a day and a small amount of rinsed mysis.. I do have about 20 fish and 12 large tangs.
I really dont know what to do but was thinking prodibio... I do have a neon green nepthia that some people say should not be in an sps tank.. I highly doubt that would effect my sps like this..
I really want to try something to get all my levels finally perfect again.. I am also thinking about going lps, i love both, but losing sps sucks!
I will be adding a ton of more live rock to my two sumps in the basement... I do have enough, but feel like overloading them may be better.
thanks for any help guys
