carbon dosing

That sounds like far too much food for that size tank. I might feed something like a 1/4 to 1/3 inch cube of food per day.

3 not 4 shrimp. Not that it changes much. How do you think cubes compare to table shrimp. Would think shrimps are much cleaner than frozen food.

I am not sure what you mean by "cleaner". Fish packaged for human consumption sometimes are treated with a compound containing phosphate, which I'd check before using. For the most part, volume is more important than the type of food. Exceptions might be made for food based heavily on algae or other high-bulk, low-protein foods.

I do remember when picking out to make sure it had no other additives besides shrimp. Most said they contained at least salt but one I did said contained nothing else. Only reason I say cleaner is in compared to what I feed my reef tank. Most frozen food I put in their seems to be cloudy and liquidized stuff with chunks.

Some or maybe most prepared foods are going to put more dissolved nutrients directly into the water column, but the overall quantity of food is the issue in most cases.
