I don't know if anyone knows what the secret ingredient in Chemipure is. I used it on my fish only tank for 3 years and I never had any issues with water quality. It's a good product. And its been around forever.

It seems to have all the benefits of carbon without any of the problem associated with carbon. The only downside is that it comes in little pouches that only treat 40 gallons each, (as far as I know).

I just stocked up on 12 containers. Enouigh for the year.

I've tried running generic carbon, but I hate dealing with refilling media bags and all that mess.
