Caribbean Turbo snails

I have heard that the caribbean turbo's will eat hair algae more readily. As opposed to the mexican turbos from the sea of cortez. I've heard the term chestnut turbo thrown around in regard to the caribbean species. Anyone have any experience with this. I have a mexican turbo that won't touch hair algae.

The chestnut turbo is Turbo castenea according to Bob Fenner/Anthony Calfo's book of reef invertebrates. Don't know if that helps with research.

I got chestnut turbos from a LFS a while a go, out of the 5, 3 died within 24 hours and the other 2 did not last more than 1 week. I drip acclimated them and was very careful in their handling. I did not see them do anything special while they lived.
