Carpenter's Wrasse Tankmates

Which fish will bully them and which fish will it bully?

What types of invertebrates would not be safe with them (for whatever reason)?

Thanks in advance.

:)

I would watch out for many of the dottybacks with carpenter's wrasse as they can really bully them. Carpenter's wrasse are great reef aquarium fish and should not really pose much of a threat to anything invertebrate wise. some other similar sized wrasses may pick on the carpenters so choose them carefully.

You can keep any mixture of flasher wrasses with P. carpenteri. I have three different species of flasher (six fish in total) and various fairy wrasses. Of these, my Scott's male occasionally chases a few of his cousins (but never flashers) but nothing serious.

Did you add them all at the same time? Does it matter?

No, I wouldn't put a dartfish in unless you have a large tank, flasher wrasses can be very aggressive, especially if they've been in the tank for a while.

When you mix dartfish and flasher put the former first and do not forget to provide many crevices for dartfishes to hide. Flashers may chase at first but they would soon settle down. Dartfishes do not harm flashers.

It is always best to introduce new fairy/flasher wrasses into a tank with some sort of socialization barrier. I have two different kinds: one floats and the other attaches via suction. This allows the current inhabitants to get used to their new neighbor. These can be purchased at Petco or on Ebay.
