carpet anemone combadabilty

okay so ill stick with the clarkiis but also i was wondering if more than 2 could be kept in the tank possibly?
Maybe, if you got four tiny juvies from the same clutch. But frankly, the odds are against long-terms success. Better to stick to one pair.

yeah i was thinking only one pair, just wanted to make sure

and i appericate all of your input eric, but from alot of the stories Ive heard its mainly crustations they eat, ill expect him to show a little interest but hopefully he wont eat the btas

Hopefully. I love puffers man, don't get me wrong. They're one of my favorite fish. A few years ago I had one in a reef setting and he loved zoos and other similar corals.

Try it out, by all means. But I would have a backup plan for the fish and the anemone (depending on what you like more).

Good luck and keep asking questions!

Re: Bta's they'll do a number on your corals when they get to close and or wander.

Wrt S. haddoni carpets, dottybacks know to avoid the tentacles and will swim crazy close eluding other fish etc. Never lost any of my tank-bred ORA P. fridmani orchid dottyback pseudos, P. springeri or P. flavivertex sunrise dottyback to my carpets.
I have read small C. kleinii butterflyfish swim very close to haddoni carpets for protection from predation, i wouldn't hesitate to try adding one in my haddoni tank.
Also i don't know so just a guess but wouldn't be surprised if banggai cardinal fish are also ok with carpets as they associate with other anemone species H. crispa.
And the topper, you have to see to believe: http://www.rareclownfish.com/forums/f10/a-personifer-a-clownfish-and-their-carpet-anemones-4500/

thanks for the suport eric, honestly if i had to choose i would take the puffer (thoose eyes)

my lfs would take the anemone if all else failed though, so im insured

alltogther though i had no idea haddonis were such fish eaters....jeez

Are you planning for this tank to be fish only or a reef? What other fish are you planning to keep? I'm asking because porks aren't really reef safe, and will eat corals (and maybe some smaller fish).

most likely a fowlr but i might add about 4 corals give or take, just for decoration along with the bta

the other fish are
-flame angle
-zebra moray
-lemonpeel angle
-yellow tang
-black nox angle
-sailfin tang
-porc puffer
-bluethroat trigger
-clarkii clowns
-blue hippo tang

its an 8ft tank remember guys

corals (all maybes)
-mushrooms
-acroporo
-colony polyp
-leather coral

also i had an idea

ill put synthetic fake corals in first to see if he shows intrest and if he does, hell get a taste of plastic, which might just deteriorate him from the lives
