carpet anemone help

I bought a carpet anemone about a week ago and he was perfect in the store wide open and big now in my tank its all shrivvled up and wont really eat. starting to think my lighting is to bright cause the tank it was in was mid lighting at best anyone know how much lighting they need and if I have to much. I have a 2-t5 39 w bulbs and a orbit 48inch led bar. I have looked online and people say they run there lights at 60-70% but I thought anemones liked a lot of light. any thoughts

The fist thing we need to know is what kind of carpet is this?

Secondly, how long has ur system be up and running? Posting pics of ur tank and the nem will help us better assess the problem.

I doubt the lights are too bright. How far do you have them mounted above the waters surface?

Lastly, we need a brief summary of your tank. Including parameters, media, water source, skimmer, etc.

the salinity is 1.024-
ammonia,nitrites and nitrates all 0
ph is 8.2-8.3
the tank is a 65 gallon tank and the lights are about 3ft from the bottom. I have 2 fan one on each corner. I have a bta in one corner and a few live rocks. the tank has been set up for about 6 months

when I first put him in it looked like this open alittle but not to healthy. now he is shrivvled up really looking like he is going down hill.

sorry to say I don't think he is going to make it but I don't want to give up on him til the last minute and I don't want to make the same mistake twice but already slowly leaking haze

That nem needs antibiotic treatment to survive. See the sticky at the top of the forum. He may be too far gone though.

kinda new to this so the last guy told me to go to that one first, but how do you tell if you have enough flow and how do I tell if I have enough light. kinds in the middle of designing one but never sure if im buying to strong of lights or fans that are to stronge

I transferred him into another tank so it wouldn't kill anything else and talked to the guy at the store he says I should have gave him food soon as they put the anemone in but ive always done 12-24hrs and never had a problem til now. am I waiting to long

You may want to consider going to a different store. Acclimating anemones don't need to be fed nor should they be fed. You want to make sure the nem isn't sick, as sick nems typically don't eat. Keep in mind that physiologically anemones only have one opening, so it's both the mouth and butt, intake and output so to speak, so they can only do one thing at a time--eat or poop.

You need to treat it with antibiotics (cipro) asap or it will die. Doesn't look good.
