Carpet anemone help

So my tank has been sitting fallow for the last few months after some ich. Next couple weeks I will be throwing my fish back in, plus a few new ones

. Friend of a friend had a carpet he didn't want, so I grabbed him yesterday. When I saw the carpet he did not have any colour. Don't know if I'd say bleached as it wasn't white. By the end of the day I started to see a nice green start to show. Figured that was somewhat a good sign.

After doing a bunch of reading, let it sit in the bag for twenty or so and dropped her in, and will feed in a week. So I dug a whole in the sand turned down the flow and placed the carpet. Once the foot attached I Pushed some sand back. And she started to unfold, seemed happy. Today I'm noticing the tentacles are not extended fully. Doesn't seem as large as it was puffed out to yesterday. A lot more colour than yesterday tho.

Tomorrow is usually the day I do my water change on. Just tested everything.

Salt 1.022
Ph 8.3
Nitrite 0 ppm ish
Nitrate 5-10 ppm maybe
Ammonia 0-0.1
To be honest all three looked really close to zero but had a little colouring maybe

Temp is between 79-80f

Ph varies a bit. But not so much. Temp stays the same. Salt, I add water when it hits 1.021.

All my corals look good. With the exception of Kenya tree, nice and extended but the polyps on the end are closed.

Being that I can't tell the colours apart at times. Maybe I should take my water in to the lfs.

Guess I should say that there has been a big change in lighting times. Buddy has a t5 setup close to mine, but he had his lights on earlier in the day where as mine come on in the evening more so. They get 7-8 hrs on per day.

Is the anemone ok? Anything I can do?

Also like to add I haven't done as much research as I'd like on the carpet. Have had a bta before. The carpet was eating his fish and needed it gone. So any links I could get to good posts or website for me to read would be appreciated

4” is minimum, 6” probably better. You can just add sand to the area it is in if you don’t want that much sand in the whole tank.

My buddy only had about three inches in his tank. The anemone was half on the outfoxed glass. Had planned on adding a more fine substrate in there. All the nice sand seemed to of gone to the left side of the tank leaving the course **** on the right. Thanks to an old convict goby I had

I wanted to add an extra inch or so. Just hard to find sand that's not the live sand. Lfs has really course as you see. I'll fill up to close to six inches On that side. See what the goby does when I put him in. Gonna pair him with a pistol shrimp so maybe he will leave the sand somewhat alone
