Carpet Anemone & True Perc Host

I have had 2 true percs for about 3 weeks now, and I just got a carpet anemone 2 days ago. I have had many different anemone/clown pairs, and they normally host pretty quick. However the true percs dont really seem interested in the carpet anemone at all. Has anyone else had experience with true percs and carpets? How long did it take for them to start a host?

thanks in advance.

Pic of Carpet Anemone for good measure... was taken with my phone so not so good quality. Its a pretty large one.. about 7" dia.

i have my carpet (haddoni) for about 8 months, my percs never touches it, I think only saddleback host haddoni naturally

Percs aren't natural commensals with haddoni. Clarkii and Saddlebacks (A. polymnus) clowns are natural symbionts commonly seen in the trade.

While not a natural combo, my pair was hosting by my Haddoni even before I fully put it in the tank. The anemone was still in my hand and they jumped in.

Second Haddoni that I put in that tank,

Mine took about 2 weeks to finally make the plunge.

I have a S. Gigantea and a pair of True Perculas (one wild, one tankbred)

my two true percs have been with my gigantea since around may.. no interest what so ever... they stay far from it.. it even moves itself to the spots they hang around and then they switch sides of the tank

Nice pics Toddrtrex. thanks for you input guys. i knew in the back of my head it was luck of the draw with these hosting. I am just too impatient. (not a good trait for this hobby)

My percs never touched my blue haddoni, and I believe that when the male went near it, he was eaten. I pulled the female, and put in a pair of akindynos that jumped right in. Saddlebacks would be perfect too.
