If a carpet anemone was to sting a fish what would it look like? I asking this because I lost my multicolor angel today and dont know why. He was eating fine lastnight, but when I came home today he was floating with a very large belly. Maybe he ate something he should not have but Im really not sure.

Anemone stings on fish that get away normally look like a cluster of white dots. If the stings are on the fins, the fins usually look ragged and may have small streamer coming off them. I have had several fish do battle w/ anemones. The ones that weren't eaten showed no signs of distress (other than the marks) once they escaped.
I think your angel has some other problem besides the anemone.
