Carpet Anenome SUPER STICKY

I just picked up my first carpet anenome tonight and WOW that thing is super sticky. I thought my elegance corals were sticky but they are nothing compired to this guy! No wonder they will eat anything that touches them. Are all carpet anenomes super sticky like this?

They won't eat clown fish. Healthy ones are sticky.

Well yeah besides clownfish lol. Yeah this one is really sticky. I went to put it into the tank and it was attached to my hand to the point I had to carefully pull it off my hand with my free hand. I love this anenome! It is awesome!

Actually, they will. I've heard many many many stories of this happening.

That is the reason I will never touch any of my Haddonis without gloves on --- they are worse then velcro. In the past I have been able to pick them up -- without trying -- out of the water because they were stuck to my finger(s). Ended having a bunch of tentacles stuck to my fingers -- without the anemone.

I've never actually felt a carpet, but now I don't want to. I think the carpets with long tentacles are beautiful, and when I set up a mega tank with MH or LED, I'll buy one!

Yeah Toddrtrex that was about the extent of how sticky mine was. Something that you cant even imagine how sticky they are unless u feel it first hand.

Also you can be sensitive to the stings as well. Some burn me like a bee sting.

Once they grab hold of something, they will not let go!
Here is a video I took of my S. haddoni eating a silverside back in 2008. They are VERY sticky and strong.
