I am most likely going to be picking up a green carpet and a pair of pink skunk clowns this weekend, my tank is BB however and just want to make sure that usually that is ok for carpets. Thanks and can't wait to have the new additions!

If there is flow on his foot, He will most likely keep moving. This requires a lot of energy from an animal that rarely moves in the wild. This may cause it to continually weaken over time, leading to it's death. This is IF a power head or some other animal in the tank doesn't kill it first. While there are very few absolutes in this hobby, I think keeping a Haddoni in a BB is a bad idea. These animals should have a sand bed, with a rock it can bury it's foot under. A high flow BB SPS tank is not the environment for a Haddoni. I hope you change your mind about this addition. It could cause the death of not only the Haddoni, but some of your SPS as well. Good luck with your decision.

i appreciate your input very much. I am still trying to figure out what i will do about it, i do have an area or two that isn't super high flow but will not buy the anemone until i am sure that i can provide it with what it needs. i know that there are hobbyist that have carpets in their BB tanks and would also like to hear from them. thank you :)

I DO have a carpet in my barebottom, an S. gigantea. My comment wasn't pertaining to all carpets just Haddoni. I know hobbyists with Haddoni in a BB system, but they all have them in containers filled with sand, kinda fugly, IMO....

What kind of carpet is the one that you are getting?

If it is a Haddoni, just put in some sand and be done with it. ;) ;)

nope sorry i love having my tank BB wayyyy too much, don't think i could ever go back to sand. I have access to both types of carpet, but have heard that haddoni is the easier one to take care off ( my tank is sps and in great condition so not really concered about keeping water quality great)

if you go Haddoni i would say go for a bowl or tupperware filled with sand. at the base of the rocks....

i love BB too but i have a box of sand for my wrasse to sleep in,if you came to my house and looked in the tank you would never even notice the box i hid it so well.
