Carpet in a nano cube

I have a huge green carpet nem. He is at least 15" when fully opened. He is in my 100gal reef tank now. But I was wondering if I could put my carpet into my 24 gal nano cube? My plan would be just to have the carpet and 2 true percs that are hosted by the carpet. Would this be okay to do or is the tank to small? Anything else I should look out for or have ready

I would say it is too small of a tank. It sounds like he is already as wide as the nano now and will only get bigger. The other concern would be the changes in water chemistry in such a small system. Just an opinion but others will chime in soon.

I agree with the others. You could plumb it into the other system to take care of the water but it would still be out of room.

Thanks 4 the advice. What would be the min size tank I should get to keep him in along with the mated percs?

Well it will get about 2 feet in size and if you're not going to plumb it into another system you will need room for live rock for biological filtration. So if you go with 2 foot by 2 foot plus room for rocks...

You could maybe get by with 18 by more than 2 feet and do a 40 breeder. But they produce a lot of waste being ravenous eaters, so even that is pretty small.

I think I might have a 40g breeder I could use actually! =) So how would this guy do in a 150gal Predator tank, with lionfish, puffer, eel, and 2 triggers?

I definitely wouldn't put it in a predator tank, I have seen them get torn up by triggers. Also, I agree with bradley m, you probably shouldn't put it in such a small tank without plumbing it into your 100 gallon system. Even if you do that the minimum tank size would be like a 45 or 60 cube with a 24"x24" footprint.
