carpet question

i was at the lfs today and they had a medium (7" diam) carpet anenome and it was a dirty brown color. will it change color? or was it cheap because it was brown? just curious.

some times they will and some times they wont you cant tell until you try.

put it under some bright high K bulbs and see what happens.

i didnt buy it. i was curious because i have been tossing around the idea of adding a carpet to my tank. i think i have changed my mind about the carpets though. i think i will go with a sebae and hope my ocellaris will host it.
