Carpet Questions

I'm thinking of setting up a tank for a carpet anemone (either haddoni or gigantea). Tank is 30" x 18" x 18", and will be drilled for a sump, etc.

For lighting: I have an aquaillumination fixture, but would like to add something to add intensity. Which of the following would be better:

- 4 x 24" overdriven T5 fixture
- 250 Watt MH
- Other?

For flow: am I better off with 2 Vortech MP10's, or one MP40?

IMO,some t5s and mabey a MP40!

Personaly I would go halides over a carpet anemone. ( whichever species you choose) One mp40 should be fine for that size tank

Rather than either/or, I think you need to decide on a species. Care requirements for S. haddoni are very different from those for S. gigantea. S. haddoni is also much easier to keep in captivity.
