Well my hadioni (sp) took a walk from the sandbed to on top of a rock. Nothing has changed in my tank except i upgraded skimmers. Any ideas why.

What skimmer did you have, and what are you using now?

How long have you had the Haddoni? Do you have any clown fish that are digging up the sand around it?

I had a euro reef cs6-2+ and switched to a swc extreme 200. Ive had the carpet around 8 months. THere are no fish that dig sand in my tank cause my clowns host a rbta not the carpet.

How long have you had the BTA in that tank? Have you changed the carbon recently?

A couple of years ago I kept BTAs with my Haddoni, and once in a while it would start to move -- no changes to the tank. After I sold off all the BTAs the random moving stopped.

I had the rbta way before the carpet i just changed my carbon like 4 days ago gunna change it again later today.

I just replaced my 250 watt single end metal halides about 3 months ago and over a year since i replace my 110 vho super actinics.

Well, that's not it. How much flow do you have in the tank? The only time my haddoni moves is when a light goes out or I have to much flow on it.

i have a tunze 6045 a k4 and a k2 plus two maxi modded 900 plus a little giant 4 return.

What size tank? In my 75 I have 2 sureflow MJ 900 (( on a wavemaker, only one on at a time )) and my return pump -- Velocity T2, and that is about the limit for the what my Haddoni can handle, flow wise.

its a 120 most of the flow is at the top of the tank other then the tunze which is on the back wall inbetween the overflows and its on a single controller.

Have you moved any of the powerhead lately? For me, even moving one an inch can tick off my Haddonis.

Couple more things -- just to make sure everything is covered

How deep is your sandbed?
Current parameters? --- with numbers
Any fish in there that could be picking in it?

Here is a few pics of it today. My sandbed is anywhere from 2 to 4 inches deep. There are no fish that i see that pick at it.
