i will be housing my s. gigantica nem in my 40 gal breader. tank is 18" deep. i will be using my 150w MH HQI. do i need to suplement with t5?

Going to get more usable PAR from a 10,000K bulb compared to a 20,000K bulb -- most of the time. Plus, not all 20,000K (( or any K bulb )) are created equal.

I would go with 10K + supplemental T5's.

I agree with what everyone else is saying, go 10k bulb. Do a little research on which ones people really like (not just what's "popular"...)


Also, you should know that a 40 breeder is only 16" tall.
