catching a pistol shrimp...

I had caught him today but i had to pull nearly 200lbs of LR out of my tank to find him then catch him. After I caught the little ^!@#% I put him in a breeders net. well after putting the rock back in and re scapping the tank the water line came about 1/4 in above the top of the net and he got out while I was out at dinner tonight :mad2:.

Would a fish trap work for him?

anyone have any other suggestions, I really dont want to pull the tank apart again.

Thanks,

Get a pistol...

Wait don't.

To be honest if it took you that much work (I don't know the size of the tank) to get the shrimp the fish trap might be hard alone, unless your shrimp is extremely active. If you consider one of the fish traps I would get someone to help you lure the shrimp into the trap, if there are caves or holes that the shrimp can stay in then.. you may have some more trouble.

it's a 120ish gallon, he doesn't seem to active atleast not when i'm around. the problem i have with him is his activity when i'm not around. i find my Zoa and bottom of the tank / sand bed frag drug all over the place.
