Catching a wrasse

Got a 6 line wrasse that needs to be removed. Any suggestions on how other than using a net and lots of patience??

A trap I tried was cutting a water bottle and putting the drinking end into the cut portion. Baited it with food...but that didn't work...all it did was trap the goby...

I had one that was killing every shrimp I would place in the tank. I had to take out over 3/4 of my rock to get him out. Hopefully the trap works.

I had a psudochromis that I had a problem with and used a trap like you described. It took a while and a few days of starvation but it finally worked. I left the bottle in the bottom of the tank and used a turkey baster to put brine shrimp in and near the front of the bottle. Eventually he went in.

Yah, those are mean little suckers. Picks at fish, shrimp, and anything else it can get it's little mouth on! I was thinking of getting a needle with a string and try to harpoon is little a$$...lol

And for those "Wrasse Hugger's" out there...I was only kidding. I wouldn't kill it before I flushed him.. :p

And maybe I'll swing out to his place to pick up a trap. Or maybe I can blast Britney Spears new CD next to the tank and he'll jump out on his own!

thats funny....

I havn't had a six line, so I don't know the sleeping habits, but thats how I have caught my dottyback and clown lately....find where they sleep. and if its a rock, take out that rock in the middle of the night and put it in a bucket of water........my dotty came out with a little "persuasion"

Only took half an hour total.

Stupid Clown sleeps in the anenome..........just had to turn the lights off for an hour with that one.

Black nets and dim light works the best
