catching fish in a reef tank

How do you go about catching a fish for any reason without taking all your live rock out or destroying the tank with a net

liek mtracer said, put the net in the water, with some food inside it, then leave it for awhile. when the fish eventually ventures into the net, quickly scoop it up with the fish inside

I like the lion fish trick there always hungry

you could try the fish trap. Get a 20 oz or a 2 ltr bottle depending one th size you want to catch. cut the top of whjere it goes down the sides and invertit inside teh bottle. make teh hole smaller than the size of the fish you are trying to catch. Tie a string to the end of the bottle and put the string out of the tank. When you put it in the tank put the fish's favorite food inside teh botttle and be ready to pull on the string.

Catching the fish at night after the lights have been out for a couple of hours has worked for me. If you are trying to catch a fish that sleeps deep in the rocks this might not work though.
