Caulastrea Head separation

I have a healthy, bright neon green Caulastrea daughter colony from a huge mother with close, tight polyp formation. Mine is starting to have some separation. It has about 20 heads.

What is causing the outward growth and seperation amongst the heads? Current, lighting? Will the structure fill in as polyp heads split?

A good thing? I wouldn't worry about it to much right now. If black turns to white, day turns to night, then I'd worry. Time should tell.

It will fill back in as the polyps continue to expand.
