What type of caulerpa is this?

Thanks in advance.

The "blades" are really small, yes? About 1-1.5" or so? Looks most like Caulerpa brachypus to me. Now, the fuzzier green alga attached to the rocks.. kinda looks like it could be Batophora which isnt all that bad, but I suppose it could qualify for another Caulerpa, C. verticillata.

GYW: It's not serrulata but it does have slight serrations.

Samala: Yes, the blades are very small. It resembles brachypus but has slight serrations on the blades and the "roots" connecting one leaf to another are not as thick. Is it just a brachypus variant or could it be another type of macroalgae?

Do you happen to have a link with a pic of Caulerpa Batophora?

I think Batophora (a different genus than Caulerpa) was in the Macroalgae slideshow in Reefkeeping. Try here. I know that Caulerpa verticillata was included in the slides.

Its not uncommon for Caulerpa brachypus to show those slight serrations on the younger blades, and for some of the material I've seen, to retain them on the older sections of the algae. Its part of how this algae is distinguished from Caulerpa prolifera, from what I've seen in the literature and in the field. (Unfortunately its not supposed to be here in Florida, but there are reports of it and I've seen it firsthand.)
