causes for inflation/ deflation?

Noticed last night around 12am that my carpet was deflated. Yesterday mid day he was stunning as ever and looked fantastic. Which leads me to ask what factors directly affect inflation and deflation of carpet nems specificaly and any anenomies in general?

Waste removal sometimes I think. Sometimes the nem is trying to seek equilibrium.

A lot of folks are going to ask you the following questions though:

1) What type of lighting do you have
2) How old is the tank
3) Is the anemone a haddoni or gigantea or whatever
4) When did you get the nem
5) Tank parameters

etc. etc. The more information you can give, the easier it'll be for one of the more experienced guys to give you a better educated guess.
