Maybe I'm just that big of a nerd! But to me this is pretty awesome stuff. I thought this would generate a bigger response.

For a genus of fish that is so popular and coveted you would think it is pretty cool that people are starting to crack the life cycle of them.

Plus the larvae are amazing with those dorsal filaments!

Not to mention people wouldn't need to risk their lives collecting them if we could produce them in captivity.

sweet link!!
im a huge lover of cave basslets...
I have a palid reef basslet, and I swear, its the smartest thing in the tank! I catch it looking at me sometimes and it just gives me a feeling its processing info at a higher rate other than eat and reproduce... it would be wonderful to get candy basslets that are tank raised.. I wonder if they'd spend more time in the open if they're tank bred specimens...

I have pretty much try to find any info of captive breeding Lios, and finally it has come to fruition!! Although I doubt we will receive any of them in our part of the world, this remains one of the breakthroughs next to angels, what a year!!! And it is not over yet!!!
