cee's frag swap items?

I have 6 frags of the Desert Fox, 1, 2, and 3 polyp pieces. The other two frags not spoken for I'd prefer to trade with others for unique palys or zoanthids as I don't see many of these in the hobby. Also, someone who requested 2 polyps is going to have to get a 3 polyp frag since that's what Nature decided (grow in clusters that can't be separated). These do grow slow.

Had a few people request I post pics again since my original thread got deleted, so here we go!

Blue-tipped red/pink mille, original from manderx (SW VA forum) and many with both like it better than ORA Scripps mille:
bluetipmille.jpg

Ultimate stag look-a-like from snipersps. Holds color well for me, with really bright blue-spectrum light corallites are green w/ turquoise body:
ultstag.jpg

Acropora willisae, originally a wild colony from RM. I've had this guy for years, and it grows in an interesting table formation where the middle of the colony is devoid of branches. Comparing with Veron's book, I don't believe it is willisae, but it is unusual:
willisae.jpg

Acropora turaki, grown from a frag, is a unique corallite structure "deep water" (misnomer IMO) species:
turaki.jpg

Red millepora species from Aquatic Gallery's show tank in Milpitas, CA. Bright red under high light, which I don't quite provide enough of, but I do get a pleasant shade of red:

Green pocillopora. My colony's about a 10" sphere grown from smaller frags than I'm offering. This coral is quite fluorescent under actinics/20ks and looks very nice as a large colony. It does grow quickly, though:

More to follow...

Pink lemonade, need I say more? Originally from snipersps, this coral did very little for me in the first year or so, just putting down an encrusting base. Since doing that, it has put up many short compact branches. Frags are in the 3/4" size with many multiple-branched:

From Atlantis, the meteor shower cyphastrea or whatever they're calling it these days. Likes lower light, too high and you lose the green base color. It encrusts over just about everything but doesn't seem to be overly aggressive:

Orange bam-bams, I (and many others, it appears) will have a few frags of this:

A very large (in my tank) green/yellow A. hyacinthus. Originally a small colony from Jeff's Exotic Fish, it has done very well in my tank. I attribute that to a lot of flow, even blowing it directly with 1000 gph returns in spots. Polyps always out and a tabling species. Bad, early picture:
greenhyacinthus.jpg

ORA rose millepora, like all milles likes high light and flow, really bad and early picture:

Idaho grape monti look-a-like (may even be the original, no way to know). This even has the tiny blue polyps and grows in whorls or random plates depending on flow:

ORA blue tort, not planning on bringing these since many others are offering them, but put it here for completeness sake:

Whew, glad that's done.

I can. You have 2 options. First is a regular-sized frag, about 1.5" or so, for $15. If you prefer, I can also offer you a "mini colony" of about 4" for $35. The larger one definately looks like a small table and is about the size (and price) I paid many years ago. Just LMK your preference and thanks for your interest!

Dave

I'll take the bigger one :)

I'll try to find you first, but in case I don't, I'll be at the LMAS table in the corner. We should be getting there early, so I'll try to find everyone with "reserved" trades before the opening.

I'm interested in the orange bam bams also what light is this coral under...i have power compact
i'm also interested in the coral at the very top of the page the first picture the red coral on the left

I have grown the bam-bams successfully under PC before, although now they're under MH. At the top, the coral on the far left that's partially chopped out of the picture (with the zoanthids) is RandyO's Acan lord. It made quite a stir in the day, being one of the first lords widely distributed. Most early acan collectors have it. I wasn't going to frag it, but if you wanted a frag, I could sell it for $4 a polyp. Just LMK if and how many polyps you'd be interested in. Thanks.

Dave

also could you give me a little information about the A. hyacinthus i don't know how it grows or what it needs. I have a 75 gallon tank

The bam-bams look about the same under PC and really glow under actinic lighting. The hyacinthus is a high flow, high light acropora which is not recommended for PC lighting or as a first SPS coral. HTH.

$30 for both sound OK?

I'll also be bringing some lightly-used equipment. 2 each Reeflux 10k 250 W SE bulbs, a couple of months use at 7 hours/day, $20 each. 1 Reeflux 12k 250 W SE bulb, about 3 months on this guy as well, $15. 3 each of EVC 14k 250 W SE, 2nd highest PAR 14k bulb, about 4-5 months use on these, $15 each. Perfect chance to try out a new bulb for much less than retail. I get bored with bulbs easily, so my obsessive compulsive behavior is your gain! Also, I'll have a dual M58 magnetic ballast for $50 and a M58 retrofit ballast for $20. They're in very good shape, but keep in mind that they can only drive the American and some Japanese bulbs since they are probe start.

Dave

cee...I will take 2 of the evc 14k bulbs if I can pick up and pay at the swap? also do you have a pic of the dual ballast?

$25 for the cyphastrea. I will bring the 14k EVC bulbs and you can pay there. I'll have to get a pic later, as it is a homemade box in a commercial metal enclosure. Also, I'll get dimensions later too.

OK, looks like I'll be able to meet everyone's requests on the desert fox palys. I won't have many left, but they'll grow, so NP there. Just remind me if you had requested frags. I think the list is:
Fanof49ASU - 2 polyps
93Foxstang - 2 polyps
rsteagall - 2 polyps
eyebedam - 1 polyp
If it changes, I'll let you know. Order above is the order I received the requests. No more of these, folks. Sorry, and thanks for the overwhelming interest.

Dave

Following up yet again... I'm getting from you:

cee: dave
red/blue tipped milli $25
green pocillopora $15
desert fox 3 polyps $?? <--how much for those again?

I'm excited about:

Hope they look half that good.

Thanks,
Ryan

$5 a polyp is what I said, not the $30 or so others ask. It is the from the same source as theirs (Rommel at Ultimatefrags). A couple of the frags aren't colored up as well, and I may not bring those.

Dave

<3 Cee! :)

Thanks. By chance do you have any Safecrackers or PHE/Jokers? Right now I've got someone telling me "maybe" on the safecrackers and I'm definitely not diggin on $30pp for the jokers.

You can pm me or call me. I'll pm you my phone number.
