center brace on 240?

Is there a way to make smaller or to cut some off, maybe hole saw it.etc i need some help here can grow sps under there and there is a 250 right above it.

I wouldn't change the brace. Have 200 gallons of water on the floor would be unpleasant, to say the least.

Can you get a picture? Although I agree it probably isn't a good idea to tamper with the center brace.
