Hey reefer: which one of those 2 angels are you considering to be the bi color angel and the other high dollar angel. Your first pic is the bi color angel, that is the one I had in my tank. That is also the one that was the first pic out of those 5-6 pics on the 2nd page.

Unless you got a REALLY good deal, I think you had the angel in the pic on the left (the bicolor). The one on the right is the joculator, which is very very expensive. TMC doesn't even put the price on their page because it's so rare and you need to be put on a waiting list in order to get one :p

Is that a female Genicanthus Caudovittatus?

I think you're right...a really young one. No black above the eye or trailing into the dorsal area from the tail yet.

Right. I guess b/c I have a widescreen monitor, the pictures are placed side by side. But yes, the one on the top is the bi-color.

There is no left or right just top and bottom. The bi-color is on the top.

But this fish is C.joculator, right?

Come on dude. The fish at the top of the two on page 3 is the bi-color angel, the one on the bottom is the c. Joculator right? The difference is the eyes? the bi color has the blue going up the side, the C. Joculator has the circles around the eye. I need to hash this out as fast as possible, cause if I took a fish back that is worth a hundred dollars more than I paid for it, Daddy is on his way back to the LFS. But I do believe Angel*fish has the wrong pic. I hope!!!!!

The fish in the Angel*Fish post is a joculator, no question. The joculator's eye is dark, the bicolor's is light. Its not just the head stripe, look at the body where the yellow meets blue, its a very distict and sudden line in the bicolor and a lot more subtle in the joculator. Plus the blue body extends much closer to the head and the line is curved in joculator. HTH

fuzz,
Put your face right up to the screen (That's not a joke or a put down :) )
When you get a good look at the eye that way you can see it.

Also 'what K.Tuna said'

Haha now I know what you mean, since the bicolor I showed before and the joculator picture shown above has a blue stripe over the eyes. I agree with KT though too, as the coloration of the joculator is much more "prettier" and dramatic than the bicolor's. Maybe you should call Daddy and take a pic :D

Sorry to disappoint you guys,
But dont justify the C.joculator price tang by "more dramatic" or "prettier" colors than C.bicolor.
The oposite is actually right.
The C.bicolor has sometimes very nice blue colors, mettalic and shinny, while the C.joculator has always kind of navy blue.
On the other hand, C.joculator is one of the toughest Centropyge spp. money can buy.
The difference between the two is very obvious, the ring around the eye, and the head shape, the C.joculator has kind of "snout".

If you calculate this way, how many P.imperator equals one pc of C.conspiculatus?
Ask anybody who is not from the industry or hobby, I guess 7 out of 10, if not more ,will say that the P.imperator is more beatiful.
