Centerpiece fish!

So I have a 34g reef. I have two clowns. I want to add one more fish. Any suggestions on a final centerpiece type fish? Obviously something small. I want good color, good personality, something that will be out and about. All of my critters, including my crab and shrimp, eat from my hand. I want something personable like the rest. What do you guys think? Money isn't really an issue for one fish.

i'd look at some of the smaller wrasses. a yellow coris wrasse would add tons of color.

A yellow corks wrasse will get to big for that tank and be cramped.

A possum wrasse would work, but they stick to the rock work more.
Atlantic Pygmy/cherub angel, they tend to stay on the small side and you can find them small.
There are a few fish to choose from but most at the size you are looking for tend to stay in one spot. Like Royal Grammas, Accessors, cardinals and there are many more.

If the clowns are small and not an aggressive breed, then I think a Royal Gramma could be good. They tend to hide a lot with more aggressive fish, but are out and about a whole lot more in a peaceful tank. They do tend to stick near the middle of the tank and the rocks, rather than swimming in the open top areas, but they are colorful and visible in peaceful tanks.

A midas blenny would be my other suggestion -- they're colorful, personable, and swim throughout the tank.

I love blennies. I had a Midas in my previous 125g, who I loved but she was kind of aggressive, I don't know how one would do in a 34

Assessors are a good idea. As is a Pygmy wrasse, but maybe not visible enough... Anything else super crazy or rare?

I thought about a Red Sea mimic blenny, they are adorable and unusual. But hard to get my hands on one. Anything else really crazy?

be careful they might nip at corals. I had a yellow fin (lavender) blenny and it destroyed some of my sps corals. Mimic blenny has a similar reputation. too bad you like your inverts so much. I have a valentini puffer in QT right now. So much personality and surprisingly decent colors...all for a very small price. LOL.

Lyretail anthia male, it will do good in smaller tank like yours, it is always out looking for food and of course beautiful, bright colored fish. Lyretails don't require frequent feedings like other anthias, two times a day will be fine.

Oooh! I like that little flaming prawn goby! I'm not sure how much I'd see it, but if it maxes out at 1" it couldn't do much to my bioload even if I only seem him every few days...

I also like your suggestion about the puffer! I did a little more research and it seems the mimic filefish looks almost identical but it a little smaller and less coral nippy. I will def look into that!

Anyother ideas?

I actually had a trio of lyretails in my 125. They are so pretty though! But I think I want something new.

Depending on substrate, and if you are willing to add more, a jawfish. I have a BSJawfish in a similarly sized tank, and he has a great personality. He doesn't interact with me, but it's so cool to watch him construct his burrows.
