Hi guys wondering what your critique is on this fish list for a 240 gal SPS only reef:

-1x sohal tang
-1x yellow tang
-1x purple tang
-1x copperband butterfly
-1x percula
-1x flame hawk
-1x ebli angel
-1x flame angel
-1x coral beauty angel
-1x multi colour angel
-1x keyhole angel
-1x colini angel
-1x potters angel
-1x golden angel
-1x multibar angel
-1x lemon peel angel

Thoughts?

(Tank dimensions - 2000x650x700)

That seems to be quite a bit of angles for that tank. I usually here that with multiples they can become quite aggressive towards others. Just my.02

Sohal can be aggressive

Probably too many dwarf angels...
Potters, multibar and lemon peel may be difficult to keep
I would suggest some Genicanthus angels instead

Flame hawk may attack shrimp

I have 10 angels and 10 tangs in my 450g DT

I would take off the sohal tang, add a pair of clowns instead of one and remove a few of the angels. Try 3 or 4 angels and add in another tang or butterfly instead

Sohal's can be such a bully fish, and could create havoc with some of the timid fish you have listed.

My experience with the lemon peels has been that they don't do well mixed with corals.

You have on your list several angels that are timid, shy and sometimes difficult to get to feed (Multibar, Golden, Colini). So I would make sure your tank is mature and loaded with sponge, pods and algae, before adding these fish. As they will need to be able to feed off the rock work to acclimate to the tank.

My pair of Goldens are seldom out and about, and don't show up for feedings (had them for close to 3 years). My pair of multibar were in the tank for almost 3 months before they took any prepared foods. And the Colini are very shy as well.

I have 15 tangs, 9 pygmy angels and a Goldflake.

I read an article after I bought my Golden Angel, it said the way they are collected, because they are so secretive you look for dead coral and you will find one. In my 300 I knew where he was at because he munched on my SPS, not real bad but enough where I knew where he was at. I moved him into my 65 with softies and he was great and actually stayed out a bunch instead of hiding like he did in the 300.

I have kept Goldens for decades now, and in my tanks from the past to current (125, 360 and 400) they have always been very secretive fish in hiding.

About 10 years ago I bought one with a friend of mine. Mine went into the display tank, and his went into a large frag tank. His Golden was out and about all the time. Mine went into the tank and was never seen again.

After 6 months I convinced my friend to sell me his, I picked it up and was floating it in my tank and low and behold my Golden appears after 6 months to check out the new Golden in the bag.

The current pair I have are very secretive. The smaller follows the larger through the rock, and only shows between gaps in the rock on occasion, no open water swimming.

Sometimes when I have big work projects I set up a desk in front of the tank. And during the day when the tank lights are off but there is sunlight coming into the room, I see the Goldens more frequently, and they are out picking on the bottom of different acro colonies.

They don't seem to do any damage, they take a couple of nips from the base of the coral and then move on.

I feed a vast variety of foods for all my fish, and nothing tempts my Goldens, they live off of foraging from the rock in the tank.

Man, that fish list seems like WWIII! I tried a Purple and a Yellow in on tank and they DID NOT get along. Also had a Flame and a Lemon Peel that also did not get along, and the latter was a SPS terror.

angel issues
colini
multibar
golden
shy hard to feed, easily spooked by other fish

all the others are aggressive and will kill the above.
