Centropyge multifasciatus preggers

Hi folks. Does anyone have any experience with breeding Centropyge? Gestation period, fry in water column, or eggs on rock...? One of my female C. multifasciatus is laden and I'd like to see if I can save any of the fry if at all possible. Thanks.

I have a pair of potter's that have recently begun spawning. They spawn in open water, near the surface. I have read quite extensively on it, but have never even attempted anything. I really don't plan to in the near future.

It requires a system built purely for the purpose of spawning and collecting eggs(usually 55 gallon drums with speciallized overflows). That's the easy part. Very few people have gone anywhere beyond that, as the near microscopic larval baby angels need PERFECT water quality and continuous feeding of live microscopic, to barely macroscopic, foods for almost two months.

It definitely isn't impossible or even necessarily expensive to do. It just requires tedious thought, tireless hours of work, immaculate record keeping, and lots of patience. Understand that very few people people have even attempted this, with much fewer succeeding.

All that said, if it something you'd like to try, do it. With Hawaiian fish in the crosshairs currently, who knows what fish will be available to us in the future.
