Celebrating the addition of another female MBA to the harem. Enjoy the pics. Keep an eye out for the purple montipora on the sand... she's made a den under it. The infighting has subsided (after 10 days) and she's eating like a champ.

Also, for kicks and grins, my 1" Fathead, which now resides in the sump of my SPS tank.

Happy New Year everyone.

She's beautiful. Multis are probably my favorite dwarf angel. They look almost like butterflyfish.

She does kind of look like she's eying that clam speculatively in the first pic, though... ;)

Beautiful. What is your secret in keeping those healthy? I tried one before and it would not survive more than a month.

I get them really really quickly after capture and as long as they have not been damaged coming out of the water, I've been pretty good at getting them to eat. QT for no more than a week with Cupramine (unless they're still not fin clean) with two pieces of algae covered live rock usually does it. I lost another MBA this week, but she was 50:50 to start with unfortunately. I find that these guys are just as difficult as Golden Pygmies. I've four of each now. They tend to go for live mysids pretty quickly and then it's just a matter of weaning to frozen and pellets.

They can pic all they want. I've quite a few softies in that tank and they do not seem to bother them much. :). Also, if you take a closer look, the male is actually looking at the new female under the purple monti. You can see her mouth sticking out from underneath!
