Chaetomorpha Algae light requirement

To decrease Nitrates and Ph and to feed fishes I'm going to add Chaetomorpha Algae to my sump section that has DSB.

How long should the light be ON?

i have read all different answers. personally, i have mine on for 16 hrs a day. i have a r b fuge light and a cf 3,700k and my chaeto doubles every 2 weeks...
